The St. Andrew's Society is very proud of its program of scholarships for students studying the Scottish Arts. We offer scholarship assistance to Highland dancers, pipers, drummers, and fiddlers. All recipients are recommended by their instructors. We have not turned down anyone who has been so recommended. No other program in the country can match our combination of number of grants, amounts of the grants, and length of time the program has been in effect.
This year we are pleased to grant 46 awards to students: 30 dancers, 12 pipers, 3 snare drummers, and 1 fiddler. These students will use the assistance to attend summer workshops in their particular art.
Instructors, please note: We would love to grant more awards to students of the other Arts - but we have to get
nominations! If most of our nominations are for Highland Dancers, that's who will get our awards.
